"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." -- John 3:16. God is Love. God loves you! Enough said. =)

Merry Christmas from me to you!
Dearest Blog Readers,
You all are a dear part of my heart.
I appreciate your spending time to read all of the features here on my "God is Love" blog! Without you, no one would read my blog and my efforts of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through this platform would be in vain.
My mission is to encourage you with God's Love and teach you about the Savior of the World (Jesus Christ). My prayer is that you will get to know God and accept His Son Jesus Christ into your heart. I hope that you will fully realize that they love you unconditionally! They want you to receive their gift of salvation that leads to eternal life (John 3:16). It is the greatest gift!
Remember that Jesus is the true reason for this Christmas holiday season!
Keep Him first in your life and trust Him through every trial. He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)!
May God bless your heart, your home and your loved ones on Christmas Day and always!
Love,

Thankful Thursdays: God’s Protection
It's Thursday and I'm thankful for God's Protection!
I thought of Psalm 91:11 (a verse in The Holy Bible) earlier this afternoon, when I saw what is becoming a familiar sight at one of my favorite town centers.
When I drove into the town center earlier today, I saw for the second time this year, a squad of men and women dressed like secret service agents (people with “serious” no-nonsense looks on their faces who are dressed in Black slacks, Black blazers, white shirts, shiny black shoes and wearing ear pieces to communicate with each other). Just like the first time I saw them, they descended on the town center and set themselves up on the four corners surrounding the area in which a cupcake shop is central. They had the entire area covered. Each guarded a checkpoint. Each person looked serious as they surveyed their surroundings and if they had a weapon, it was concealed.
I do not know who these secret service agents were guarding but I think the person may be a high-profile politician or government employee given the area that the town center is located. It’s only a few miles away from important places where people in power gather for business and work-related matters.
It’s the second time this year that I’ve seen this happen. But today was the first time that my mind drew a parallel and life lesson from this scenario.
Ready to hear it?
Here it is: After today, I realized that just like those secret service agents guarded every corner of the area where their Very Important Person (VIP) was visiting, staying vigilant and ready to defend the VIP if needed, God sends His Angels from Heaven to guard us every single day, in every way!
The Bible says in, Psalm 91:11, “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.”
According to Belief Net (website), “This translates literally to mean that God will instruct His angels to watch over individuals. God will give each of His angels a purpose: to guard His children. Those who are faithful will be under the constant care of His angels.”
It’s comforting to know that God’s Angels are always watching over you and me, guarding us and delivering us from evil. They are stronger and smarter than the world’s best-trained secret service agents and unlike mere mortals like you and me, they will NEVER fail an assignment to cover us. They cannot be killed and they are very skilled at doing God’s will.
The Bible also says in Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.”
According to Belief Net (website), “The angel of the Lord can mean any one of God’s angels. In this passage, it is noted that God would send His angels down to His true loyal children and rescue them from danger. His angels will lift us up and keep us from harm if we choose to trust in Him.”
Situations in life can be scary but you don’t need to be a VIP to be covered by God’s protection. God has promised to be with you wherever you go. He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He’s holding you close in His Hand (Isaiah 41:13) and taking care of you from the moment He wakes you up in the morning (believe it or not, it’s not our alarm clock that wakes us up) to the moment you go to sleep for the night then His angels are on guard as you sleep!
God’s protection over all of His children here on Earth is a 24/7/365 operation. He has unlimited resources to help us and deliver us from evil. All we need to do is trust Him to take care of us and obey Him. Remember, there are consequences to our sinful actions but God is merciful. He’s ready to forgive you of your sins if you ask Him. But then He expects you to turn away from your sins and seek Him. Life can be messy but God is with you in your mess. He will never give up on you! I’ve heard stories of how He’s protected people in the middle of their mess and rescued them from dangerous situations.
Point is: If you believe in God, you’ve already got a protection squad in the form of His Heavenly Angels. You may not be able to see them but they are always with you. God’s Angels are here to help us make it through our journey here on Earth. Hebrews 1:4 (KJV) says, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”
So next time you’re in a situation that scares you, ask God to send His protection. Pray for His protection even when you cannot sense danger or think that everything is okay. Remember, God sees what we cannot see and He protects us more than we may think! So don’t only ask God for protection, thank Him for it!
Trust and believe that your Creator (GOD) loves you. He is there for you, sending His Angels to protect you and guard you in all your ways. Best of all, you don’t need an ear piece to communicate with God, He’s only a prayer away and He knows what you need even before you pray!
Perhaps God’s Protection can be summed up in the words of Isaiah 65:24 (KJV) in which He says, “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Isn’t God Awesome?
In closing, I’d like to share this song, “Angels Watching Over Me” by Virtue. You can listen it to here. God bless you, dear hearts!
Always remember that you are loved and protected by your Maker (God)!

Thankful Thursday: The Beauty of Serving a God Who Knows!
Dear Blog Friends,
It's Thursday and I'm thankful that I serve a God who "knows"!
Allow me to explain: Lately, I've been feeling bogged down by the cares, distresses, disasters and despair that are part of our world. I would wake up in a negative mindset and go throughout most of my day feeling that nobody truly "knows" my pain and understands what I'm going through. But then for the past several days, my negative train of thought was interrupted by the key lyrics to this song "He Knows" performed by Jeremy Camp. This song simply reinforces the truth that the Creator of the Universe (God) knows exactly what I am going through and He is with me in the dark valleys of life. But not only is He by my side, carrying me when I'm too weak to walk, He's watching over my every step and making sure that I don't fall to my death.
God is closely acquainted with our pain, hurt, and sorrow. He is the only One in the Universe who understands the human condition and earthly plight so completely and intimately. And only He is fully equipped to bring us through the toughest times.
When you trust God to be there for you, there's always a ray of hope in every storm of life. The Bible says that He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). God deeply values us mere mortals because He created us and He wants what's best for us. He is near to the brokenhearted. He and His Son Jesus Christ feel your pain and the best news is that with they will not allow suffering to go on forever! One day, God's going to send His Son back to Earth to redeem His faithful followers and take us to Heaven. We will live better than happily ever after that we read about in fairy tales because it's a true reality for the future of those who believe in Him. God's faithful followers can look forward to an eternity filled with His Presence, Peace, Joy, and Love.
So in closing, allow me to soothe your soul with this truth: God wants to heal your broken heart. He wants to restore your mind. He wants to redeem your soul.
Will you let Him? Will you trust Him to be there for you? Will you allow Him to carry you through tough times and wipe the tears from your eyes? God loves you with ALL of His divine Heart! Always remember that truth and read Jeremiah 29:11.
And when you're feeling alone or like no one "knows" what you're going through, don't despair. Put your trust in the Lord because HE knows and He will help you.
God bless you!
Love,
Alexis

Thankful Thursday: Reminders of God's Love
It's Thursday and I'm thankful for reminders of God's LOVE for me and you and honestly? Every single human that's ever existed and will exist! God LOVES you! SO MUCH!
Okay, here's the story behind my message: Earlier this week, I was talking with one of my aunts who lives in another country. She's new to Skype and was eager to try it out so I gave her a few pointers over the phone and eventually, we were able to see each other on our computers using our web cameras through the free online service of Skype. At first, I didn't want to turn on the camera on my computer which would enable my aunt to see my face because I was having a bad hair day. So, I wrote a message to her in the chat box of Skype saying that I was having a "bad hair day" and she wrote back saying, "The hair doesn't matter." And there it was, in those four words, a lesson point that reminded me of how God sees us.
God loves us, period. It doesn't matter if we're having a bad hair day or just stepped out of the salon with our tresses looking like a movie star's. It doesn't matter if you're struggling with your weight, battling an illness, suffering from a breakup with your significant other, or feeling like you're losing the battle to stay positive and enjoy life. Whoever you are, whatever you're going through, KNOW THIS- GOD LOVES YOU! And He will NEVER leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). TRUST!
Just like my Auntie who told me that the appearance of my hair does not matter, she just wants to see her niece and connect via a conversation over Skype, GOD sees you and LOVES you just as you are and He wants to spend time with you regardless of your condition. Remember, God is in the restoration business: He can take your mess and produce a message that will transform your life and change your world. He can turn your trials into triumph. He can help you overcome addiction. He can help renew your perspective on life when negativity gets the best of you. And most importantly, He and only HE can save your soul and ensure your presence in eternity.
Doesn't that sound beautiful? Beyond the beauty, there's truth.
I am so grateful that God sent a reminder of His love for me through my Auntie's message and I pray that today, God will send a reminder of His love to you. How He will do it? I don't know. But when He does it, you WILL know! :)
God bless you!
Love,
Alexis

Thankful Thursday: When God brings it all together
It’s Thursday and I’m thankful for God working in the lives those who love Him to “bring it all together for good”!
"Well, what do you mean?" (I figure you may want to ask me that question).
I mean that God promises that ALL things work together for those who love the Lord! Romans 8:26-28 says (in The Message Bible),
I will share details of what I mean in future Thankful Thursday posts on my blog but for now I exhort you to be encouraged and let the Lord fight your battles for you because in the end, God wins! So won’t you choose to be on the winning side?
What situation are you facing that you wish some good would come out of it? Take it to God in prayer and then trust Him to turn it around for you. He loves you with ALL his divine heart and He will NEVER leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Until next time, take care and God bless you!
Sincerely,
Alexis

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
*Please note that the use of the word "pregnant" in this text is not literal.
The Lord my God has been working in my life and those around me to bring the pain, hurt, sorrow, situations all together for our good. In the past months, I have been reminded of how God is in control and He can convert the most dire situation into rays of sunlight, He’s just that GOOD!

A beautiful message in song for you
Every true follower of Jesus Christ is a part of His body. How beautiful, the Bible says are the feet of those who bring good news (Romans 10:15)! How beautiful, Twila Paris sings, is the BODY OF CHRIST!
Be encouraged in knowing there is a God who is real, sovereign and in charge of the affairs of this world. He did not create our world and leave it to run itself or sit up high in heaven from a throne and watch us as the popular song by Bette Midler says, "From A Distance." No, no, NO! God is just as much involved in our everyday matters here on Earth as He is in Heaven and He wants you to know that He loves you and He is here for you no matter what!
My prayer is that you will be blessed by this song and that you will if you do not already, come to know the God who loves you with ALL of His HEART. :)
Praying for peace in your life,
Alexis

Showers of Blessings
Dear friends,
Happy first day of APRIL!
Wow, to me it seems like this year is moving forward at record speed!
What do you think? It feels to me like yesterday it was the New Year and now we're nearly mid-year!
Life here on Earth is filled with changes...Mother Nature changes seasons, employees change jobs, children change attitudes and people on fire for Jesus Christ can change the world. :)
Speaking of being on fire for Jesus Christ, I found this beautiful illustration of the song, "No Matter What" on YouTube by (Christian recording artist who is very much on fire for JESUS) Kerrie Roberts and I would like to share it with you! It speaks to the truth that no matter what changes in this life, God never changes and while people may desert us, He is there for us, "no matter what"! :)
