Back Cover Blurb for Liz's book:

When Harriet Peters came to Boston in 1882, the Robinson family took her in like one of their own, and Harriet became closer to Lizzie Robinson than her own siblings.

Now, four years later, Lizzie is deathly sick, failing quickly just like several others in her family have done over the past few years. How can so many in one family die from the same mysterious illness?

Harriet doesn’t have answers, but she is determined to help the family, bringing in a new-to-the-neighborhood doctor, Michael Wheaton.

As Harriet and Michael close in on the answer, putting their own lives at risk, can the cause be found before anyone else dies?

  1. This is so funny as I read a book called The Black Dress and it was so good. I really would love to read this as I was in a foster home that the mom came down with Lou Gherigs Disease and since then her son and daughter have both died from the same thing and they were in there early 40's there is only 1 living son and he looks completely different than the others we always think that my foster dad brought him back from the war he was in as he never got the disease and is so healthy also he was the oldest of the 3 kids that they had. Also I want to read as it is a mystery about illness. God Bless peggy clayton

  3. The late 1800's is a favorite time period of mine. It sounds like it includes several favorite themes - a welcoming family, friendships, a mystery with a partnership to investigate it. It sounds like it will be a good read, both suspenseful and uplifting.
