Now Behold the Lamb from The Gospel (movie)

This song from the movie, The Gospel, is a testimony in itself.

Here's to all the prodigal sons and daughters (past and present)...it's not too late to return to God:

My favorite quotes from the preacher in the song:

"As the choir begins to sing, there are some of you who are going through your own storms. Can we talk about it?"

"Don't allow those situations in your life to keep you from having a relationship with God. No, you need to know Him!"

"You know many of us talk about, 'Oh I'm going to get to know God tomorrow.' TOMORROW ISN'T PROMISED and you can have salvation TODAY!"

"There is no perfect church! If there's a perfect church, it stopped being perfect the moment you and I walked in! BUT there IS a perfect God!"

~*~
Can I get a Hallelujah, AMEN? :)

*You can read about The Prodigal Son (true story) in the Bible via Luke 15:11-32 which you can view online (http://www.biblegateway.com/).

A reminder of God's unfailing love

A father's love for his child...a lot like God's love for us:

"God is like that. When we are hurting and fighting to finish, He comes and helps us."

*Song: "You Raise Me Up," by Josh Groban

A promise to embrace

Pain, suffering, sorrow, disaster, disease, disappointments and death are not the final act to our human history!

A great and marvelous event will take place someday when Jesus Christ returns to take His faithful followers HOME.

Didn't you know? Earth is not our home-- it's our training grounds. Our lives here on this side of eternity are to be spent living like Jesus-- loving the Lord our God with our full hearts and loving our neighbors as ourselves...ultimately showing the world a glimpse of our God whose heart is filled with compassion and arms are never too short to save.

On what has been referred to as, "that great, gettin-up mornin'" (the return of Jesus Christ), "The sky shall unfold/preparing His entrance/the stars shall applaud Him/with thunders of praise/the sweet light in His eyes/shall, shall enhance those awaiting/and we shall behold Him then, face-to-face..."

Watch Sandi Patti perform her interpretation of this gospel message:

Another Time, Another Place

A song that speaks clearly for itself and puts life in proper perspective:

The Mercy Seat

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."-- Hebrews 4:16 (New International Version)

Before the Morning

Do you wonder why you have to feel the things that hurt you?/If there's a God who loves you, where is He now?/Well maybe there are things you can't see/And all those things are happening to bring a better ending/Someday, somehow...

A poignant song followed by a powerful testimony:

Isaiah 41:10 (New International Version, available online via www.biblegateway.com):

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

AMEN.

The Restoration Process

JESUS says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."-- found in John 16:33 (King James Version, available online via www.biblegateway.com).

True Beauty

God thinks you're beautiful-- just the way you are.

He sees your true value-- even when others may not.

He loves you like his own child (Jesus Christ)-- and He's reaching out to you.

Here's a beautiful slideshow interpretation of Francesca Battistelli's song on this topic, "Beautiful, Beautiful":

Lifehouse "Everything" Skit

Dearest Children of the Eternal King,

Have you ever felt like Jesus Christ was so far away from you?

Ever felt like your heartfelt prayers to God never make it past the ceiling?

Does the idea of salvation as a free gift seem too good to be true?

Do you feel like you have to be a perfectly good person in order to make it into Heaven?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then this video is for you:

Video recap: The man with the purple sash over a white robe in this skit represents Jesus and the girl who is being pulled in different directions stands for us (humanity/God's children) and our sinful condition. The idea behind this skit is that no matter what you go through in life, no matter how far away you feel from God, He is still there. Jesus Christ loves you with His life (John 3:16). He is always there for you (Matthew 28:20) and He's never giving up on you.

Don't wait until tomorrow to accept the Jesus Christ as your personal Savior because sometimes, tomorrow never comes. As a song by BeBe Winans ("Tomorrow") notes, "Jesus said, I am He who supplies all your needs/And you said, I know but tomorrow/Tomorrow, I'll give my life/Tomorrow/I thought about today/Oh, but it's so much easier to say/Tomorrow/Tomorrow?/Who promised you tomorrow?/ Better choose the Lord today/for tomorrow very well might be too late."

My prayer for you is that you will answer to God's call on your life with courage and faith.

Words of wisdom, true to how Jesus chose his disciples (many were fishermen who He made fishers of men), "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called."

God bless you!

Introducing Bianca Juarez-- Christian writer/teacher/speaker:

In The Name of Love from Bianca Juarez on Vimeo.

God loves you

"God loves you," I've been told since I was a born.

"God loves you," I've told countless people since I've been able to talk.

But since I've grown up, I've begun to think deeper about simple truths.
Yes, God loves you, but what does that mean?

It's a lot to wrap your mind around. See, God is the creator of the universe an all within it.

So you mean to tell me that the One who created the Earth, the galaxies, the sky, the sea, my friends, my family, me and all of humanity loves me?

Wow.

It's powerful.

We get excited when someone we like tells us they love us. But here we have the Creator of the Universe telling us that we're the apple of His eye!

God doesn't need us to survive, but we need Him to live.

There's a bumper sticker (for cars) that says,
"Know God, know peace. No God, No peace."

Today I invite you to know (and for those of you who already do, then to reconnect) with the One who calls you his own

The Creator of the universe has a special place in His heart for humanity. He sent His Son to save us (John 10:10). Our Savior's name is Jesus Christ and He (literally) loves us with his life.

Here's a video from YouTube to help illustrate my point:

May you experience God's love, mercy and grace in a powerful way.

Sincerely,

Alexis

God still wants you

This one goes out to anyone and everyone who's ever felt not wanted.

Take heart in knowing that God still wants you! He created you for a reason! He has a purpose and plan for your life.

Trust Him to lead you into the fulfillment of His plan for you (Read Jeremiah 29:11).

Ask God to order your steps in His word (Read Proverbs 3:5-6).

See gospel music legend Tramaine Hawkins sing about how God sees your value and still wants you:
